Do I need to be a member to get into a UK casino?
No. The membership and 24-hour waiting rule ended with the Gambling Act 2005. You need to be 18 or over and carry photo ID. Most venues let you walk in on the spot; some register first-time visitors at reception, which is free and quick.
What photo ID is accepted?
A passport or a photocard driving licence. Venues operate Think 25, so anyone who looks under 25 is asked for proof of age at the door. A bank card is not proof of age.
Is it free to walk in?
Entry to the venues listed here is free — you pay only for food, drink and play. A very small number of members-only clubs are not listed here because you cannot simply walk in.
Is there a dress code?
Usually smart-casual. Smart jeans and trainers are commonly fine; football shirts, vests and caps are often refused. Some venues enforce no dress code at all. Each venue page says what that venue publishes.
Are casinos open all night?
Several are open around the clock; others close between about 4am and 6am. Live tables usually start later than the doors open — often afternoon or evening. Each venue shows door hours and table hours in London time.
Why are there no prices or bookings here?
This is practical information for visiting in person, not a booking service. There are no prices, no bookings, no promotions and no links to any gambling website.
How current is this information?
Addresses and licences come from the Gambling Commission public register; opening hours and dress code from each venue, checked 14 September 2026. Hours change on public holidays and for events — confirm before you travel.
Are casinos in Northern Ireland included?
No. Northern Ireland has a different legal regime and is out of scope. These pages cover casinos in England, Scotland and Wales.
